PERFECT MOMENT
Junior Designer. Skiwear. CURRENT EMPLOYMENT- Sep 2024
I work closely with the Design Director in a small team, contributing to the full design process from concept to production of women’s, men’s, and kids’ apparel, in après, bluebird and technical ski collections.
Researching to inform design concepts, looking at all walks of inspiration, while keeping brand DNA front of mind when creating a strong design proposal.
Following the latest trends from competitors, catwalks and social media and sharing with the team.
Curating product boards in close collaboration with merchandisers to create a line plan.
Sketching new concepts, using hand drawing and illustrator.
Bringing sketches to life with highly-detailed CADS and tech files, working with blocks to problem solve construction, creating the best possible samples.
Close alignment and exposure with highly skilled product developers, fabric developers, print and knitwear designers, helping me become a more well-rounded designer.
Supporting design with brand collaborations.
Closely following the critical path, ensuring all tasks are up-to-date and on time.
Due to the nature of working in a fast paced environment, accuracy is essential to encourage a smooth design process.
